Music on Monday

It seems that Christmas music is everywhere – from the radios in our cars as we drive to and from work to the speakers in the mall as we buy last minute gifts. There are traditional songs like Bing Crosby’s White Christmas or It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas. There are religious carols that focus on the birth of Jesus. There are fun songs like Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer or The Pretty Little Dolly. The songs run the spectrum from worshipful to irreverent.

This week’s music is something I found a while back featuring two artists I enjoy and I hope you enjoy this also, as we finish up this last week before Christmas. Take a deep breath, relax, forget about all the last minutes things still waiting to be done, and listen to this beautiful music and it’s beautiful message.

Love the Allison Krauss / Yo-yo Ma “Wexford Carol” (from Musical Monday). What a wonderful Christmas carol and how beautifully performed! My thanks to you for selecting it and lifting my spirit on an otherwise dreary afternoon.
